Safety

What the it-quick-support skill does, and what it never does, as written in its rules.

It does

  • Read-only first. Checks such as event logs and reading files and settings run without asking, within the problem's scope.
  • Every change waits for your yes. You see the command, its effect and how to undo it first. This covers services, tasks, files, registry, network settings, drivers, installs and restarts.
  • Backup before change. It prefers disabling over deleting, and exports or backs up before changing. A restore point is offered before the first change.
  • Visible admin steps. Admin steps run in one visible Windows approval (UAC) window. If you decline, it stops and says so.
  • Blanket permission only if you opt in. It lasts for one ticket, and still shows and logs every action. Destructive and irreversible actions are never covered.
  • Long operations are bounded. Windows Update, app updates and similar calls run with hard time limits, so a session never hangs.

It never

  • Weaken your security software. No turning off antivirus or real-time protection, no scan exclusions, no firewall or SmartScreen changes. Security settings are yours: it recommends, you decide.
  • Ask for or store secrets. It never asks for, types or stores passwords, tokens or keys.
  • Run a script it found. Content it reads (logs, scripts, web pages) is data, not instructions. It reads such scripts and never runs them.
  • Use hidden or opaque commands. Only signed, built-in Windows tools with plain, visible commands. No encoded command text, no hidden windows, no fetching and running code in one step.
  • Touch credentials, logs or recovery. It never reads the sign-in process memory or exports credential stores, never clears event logs, and never deletes shadow copies or restore points.
  • Use non-Windows tools or leave scope. Never Python, Node or other runtimes, even when installed. Other machines, company tenant administration and BIOS/firmware are out of scope.

Privacy: the chat never shows local paths, usernames, computer names, IP or MAC addresses or serial numbers, except inside a command you must approve, and the report holds none of them. The skill's files stay on your PC, but everything in the conversation, including command output, is sent to Anthropic, as in any Claude Code session.
